My name is Erin Kelly and I am the acupuncturist at Artifex Wellness. First of all, I want to thank you in advance for your interest in my growing practice, and second, I would like to share with you a bit about myself and the path I am on.
In all honesty, it’s only as a result of my commitment to my own health and that of my loved ones that I have found myself unraveling the mysteries of chronic illness, starting with Crohn's disease, fibromyalgia, and chronic sinusitis.
Would you believe me if I said that, from a treatment standpoint, there is a common denominator between all of these disorders, as well as with many cases of migraine headaches, arthritis, other chronic GI issues like diverticulitis and ulcerative colitis, and even autism spectrum disorder? Amazing. I have also learned that in order to truly address every facet of these disorders, it's important to address the psychological and emotional impact they almost always bring with them.
And so, I came to specialize in chronic illness pain and stress management.
There are over 3 million people in America suffering with fibromyalgia. Chances are, you either are or know at least one of them. Chances are also good that each of these people is struggling to find relief from the options Western medicine has to offer them. Luckily, there are solutions, and it’s all about finding what works best for you.
And so, without further ado, here are a handful of my favorite places on the internet to gain insight and knowledge on managing your chronic illness.
YouTube Channel: Sleepy Santosha: Living an abundant live with Chronic Illness.
Anyone suffering from chronic illness or pain knows how challenging the exercise dilemma can be. This YouTube channel offers great solutions via gentle, restorative yoga videos varying in length from 5 to 45 minutes, many of which can even be done in bed.
My absolute first and foremost suggestion to every chronic pain sufferer is to challenge yourself to explore the idea of food as your front line of medical care. The Holy Kale is my very favorite site of all of the sites for recipes and information.
And these are a couple of my other favorite sites:
The Primal Palate and The Nourished Kitchen.
Also, this is my blog. Confession: I only just started this and there is probably nothing of use to you on it at this point. BUT I intend to fill its pages with useful information and helpful advice on how to heal yourself from the inside, out.
Stretch Away Back and Leg Pain App
I hope you find these useful!
